To begin, open Adobe Illustrator and create a new document (follow my new document settings down below).
Use any size that is appropriate for your final application, but make sure the RGB mode is chosen so that the most vibrant colors are accessible.
Now that you've got everything set up, let's look at how to apply the retro effect to text in Illustrator.
⚫ Create a text element with the suitable font style for your specified phrase
⚫select the Type Tool (T).
⚫ Open the Character panel (Window > Type > Character).
⚫ Set the font size to 600 px
⚫ choose the typeface.
Using the appearance panel, follow the steps below:
🌟Go to Window > Appearance or press Shift + F6.
🌟 Make sure the text is selected before taking any of the following steps.
🌟 a new fill using the appearance menu on the right side of the appearance panel.
🌟 Add the first color to the text.
🌟 Add a new fill and add the other color.
🌟 Then go to the effect (fx) section of the appearance panel and select Distort & Transform > Transform.
🌟 In the transform effect dialogue box, choose the move to 1 mm for both the H and V options and the copies number (choose the number you want according to the length of the shadow you want).
🌟 Add a new fill and add the other color, and repeat the last steps until you’re satisfied with your design.
